I have a couple of questions. I was wondering, going through your blog it seems that you know some of the other black women in South Korea. How did you all meet? Did you all just bump into one another one day?
Also, this is going to sound silly, but do they offer many perms for black women in South Korea, I am pretty sure they do, but am not sure, so I thought I'd ask.

Subject: your blog is great!

Hello,
I came across your website today, and have to tell you that I absolutely love it! It has so much information. I have lived abroad for most of my adult life, but this will be my first time in Korea. I am looking forward to it! I wear my hair natural and saw your photo --- that is great! I am wondering how you maintain it there? Would it be a stretch to say there is a salon or a place to get it braided? Do you find it easy to wear your hair natural there? Well, I look forward to connecting with our community once I land in Korea. And, again, thanks so much for such a great site!

hello ladies. im replying to both of you at the same time b/c you both asked me about hair. i live near seoul
and i know of 5 salons in itaewon (in seoul, the foreigner area) that are black hair salons. most offer braids, perms, weaves, etc. There is a large nigerian population there as well, and where there are nigerian women, there are places to get your hair did.

as for how we all met: every time i see a black woman, i stop and say hi. it snowballed from there. :)

Where will you be staying when you get to korea? if you can tell me the name of the subway stop closest to where you'll live, or closest to your school, i can get a better sense of where you'll be. also, please check the groups below, maybe you can find someone who lives where you'll be, and you can ask them about where they go? the sistas i know all have natural hair, and we all do our own.
