Hello,
I am a black female from the UK and I am in the process of moving to Korea to teach ESL in a private school.
Can you tell tell me your experience of being a black female in Korea?
Where are the majority of the black people located?
What is there for entertainment?
I would really appreciate some feedback.
Kind Regards

Can you tell tell me your experience of being a black female in Korea? my overall experience has been good. does that help?
Where are the majority of the black people located? in seoul, close to military bases. but the military are a different type of folks, not quite the same as the teachers. the black teachers ive met were eager to meet and socialize w/the rest of us. military not so much, almost a bit "cool." but perhaps it's a result of poor treatment, maybe they're meeting koreans who mistreat them for being in their country. maybe they're tired of every american they meet wanting things from them, wanting a hook up to the commissary.
What is there for entertainment? what kind of entertainment? there's plenty for sight seeing. there are a few areas for clubs and bars.

do you ahve facebook? the group is pretty active, if you'd liek to find more people to talk to.
